Lido Hotel – Booking Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Lido Hotel. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-in: 14:00 – 23:00
• Check-out: 10:00
• Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges
• Unauthorised late check-outs may result in additional charges

2. Booking, Payment & Deposits

• Full payment is required prior to check-in
• A refundable breakage deposit is payable on arrival:
  • R100 (standard rooms)
  • R200 – R300 (upgraded rooms)
• Deposits are refunded upon check-out, subject to inspection
• Any damages, loss, or excessive cleaning will be deducted from the deposit
• Any additional charges exceeding the deposit must be settled before departure

3. Occupancy

• Maximum 2 guests per room, unless otherwise arranged in writing
• Additional guests are not permitted without prior approval
• Room allocation and specific room numbers are subject to availability

4. Rooms, Facilities & Amenities

• Rooms may include air-conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, and hot water
• While we strive to maintain all facilities, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, load shedding, or circumstances beyond our control
• Minor interruptions do not automatically entitle guests to a refund

5. Complaints & Guest Responsibility

• Any concerns must be reported immediately to reception
• The hotel must be given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue (including repairs or room changes)
• Failure to report issues or early departure without allowing resolution will be regarded as acceptance of the accommodation

6. Cancellation, No-Show & Early Departure

• All cancellations must be made in writing
• More than 3 days before check-in: 100% refund
• Within 3 days: partial refund may apply
• On the day of check-in, no-show, or early departure: full booking value is payable
• No refunds apply after check-in or for early departure

7. Conduct, Noise & Smoking

• All rooms are strictly non-smoking
• Smoking is only permitted in designated areas
• A R500 penalty will be charged for smoking inside rooms
• No parties, excessive noise, or disruptive behaviour allowed
• Quiet hours: 22:00 – 07:00
• The hotel reserves the right to evict guests without refund for misconduct

8. Meals & Dining

• Breakfast: 06:30 – 11:00
• Dinner:
  • Weekdays: 06:30 – 19:00
  • Weekends: 05:30 – 20:00
• Meals are served in the dining area only (no room service)
• All food served is halaal
• Special dietary requirements must be arranged prior to check-in

9. Laundry Services

• Laundry services are available at an additional cost
• Turnaround time: 12–36 hours
• No dry-cleaning services are offered
• All laundry charges must be settled before check-out

10. Pool & Facilities

• Use of the pool is at your own risk
• Children are not permitted to use the pool unsupervised
• Pool access may be restricted during events, maintenance, or safety concerns
• Guests are required to respect events and other guests on the property

11. Children Policy

• Maximum occupancy includes children
• One child aged 3 years or younger may share with parents at no additional cost
• Children must be supervised at all times
• Children may not be left unattended in rooms or public areas

12. Liability & Indemnity

• Guests use hotel facilities at their own risk
• The hotel is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
• The hotel is not liable for injury or death unless caused by gross negligence
• Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk

13. Right of Admission

• Lido Hotel reserves the right of admission
• The hotel may refuse accommodation or evict guests for non-compliance, unsafe behaviour, or illegal activity, without refund

14. General

• Rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and may change without notice
• All outstanding charges must be settled before check-out
• By confirming a booking, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions
